What are waste consultants?

They are experts in the field of waste. Just like you know all about your business, waste consultants know all about handling waste, and more importantly, all the ways to save you money on your waste. They have the ability, through their combined client national volume, to negotiate lower hauler rates for your locations. They have the knowledge and industry experience to determine the optimum service levels for your locations. They have specialists who interpret the “fine print” on hauler contracts to make sure there are no “hidden” rate increases or other unnecessary clauses. They work FOR YOU, not for the haulers. Everything they do is in your best interest.

Isn’t it cheaper to contract directly with the hauler?

Absolutely not. Waste consultants have the ability to customize a hauler program for you. They have hundreds of national haulers that they do business with and they will present you with a comprehensive plan that will save you as much as 50% from national hauler programs. They become your “one-stop” shop for all things related to waste. You have all the advantages of dealing with a single national hauler without the higher price.

What if we already have a contract with a hauler?

No problem. Most of our clients are under some sort of contract when we start, and we can still work to lower your costs. In some instances even if you are under a long-term contract we may be able to utilize our connections to encourage your hauler to re-negotiate a lower rate. That’s just another advantage of using a waste consultant. It is our goal to save you as much money as possible as quickly as possible.

We have already “right-sized”, and we think our costs are at rock bottom. Why should we still talk to a waste consultant?

If you believe you already have the lowest rates available, you are actually in the best possible position. If you let us review your costs, and we cannot save you any money, we will shake hands and tell you that you have done a great job. No cost or obligation. But what if we can save you money? Don’t you want to know? In this challenging economy, it is more important than ever to save every possible dollar.

What if I don’t want to give up control of my hauler contracts?

You won’t. We make recommendations to you, but you are under no obligation to implement any changes. You remain in control at all times. Think of it as having a specialized, dedicated employee who has a degree in contract negotiations, waste industry experience, problem-solving skills and business organization, whose sole job is to make educated recommendations to you regarding waste. And, you only have to pay them a percentage of any money they can save you from your current costs. No base salary, no benefits. Sound too good to be true? Not if you use a waste consultant. That’s precisely what we do.

Can you still provide assistance in areas that are serviced through the city or are franchised?

Yes. A right size audit produces an average savings of 15-20%. Even if the rates are set by the city or county, we will do a right size analysis and provide you with a savings proposal for those locations.

Once we get started, what if I decide that using a waste consultant is not right for me?

We have a 30 day out clause in our agreement that allows you to cancel our services without cause with a 30 day notice. We only ask you to pay for any implemented savings, and we will continue to service those locations if you desire.

Will you handle all waste-related problems?

Yes. We have 24/7 customer service available to all our clients. No matter what waste problems you may have, your people only need to make one phone call and we take it from there. No more time lost dealing with unresponsive haulers. We stay on top of the problem until it is resolved.
